Tax Attorney for Back Tax Relief Help

If you need IRS or state tax debt relief, then one of our Tax Lawyers, tax consultants, and tax advisers know the tax law necessary to assist with your case!  Dramer Law has a team of tax relief attorneys that can help with our tax relief solutions no matter the stage of the game.  If your tax problems are just beginning or even if you’re already facing legal action, we can deal with the IRS or your local State tax agency on your behalf saving you thousands.

Tax matters are time sensitive.  Tax codes are complex and continuously changing.  The IRS & State tax agencies are ruthless with their collection efforts.  These are a few reasons that having an experienced tax attorney at your side will benefit you. We know what to do and how to protect you.  No one magic solution works for every situation; therefore at Dramer Law, we offer every option available.  No matter your case, we will be able to provide the right process to fit your individual or business’ needs.

Our Tax Relief Lawyers can Assist with:

  • Tax Audits
  • Filing an appeal
  • Taking over communication on your behalf
  • Ensuring you’ve taken advantage of all tax credits.
  • Negotiate tax abatements of penalties and related interest charges
  • Establish affordable monthly payment plans
  • Settle your back-tax obligation for less than what you owe
  • Tax Liens
  • Tax Levies
  • Wage Garnishments
  • Avoid the Seizure of Your Assets

The lawyers that work for the IRS don’t represent you, and therefore if you ask for help, their advice may not be in your best interests.  On the other hand, one of our tax relief lawyers will represent you and make sure your best interests are our main priority.  We handle all communications with the IRS or State on your behalf and will help to protect you and your assets.  We offer IRS and State tax solutions for individuals and small business owners looking for relief with:

  • Delinquent Tax Returns
  • IRS Audits
  • Payroll Tax Problems
  • Tax Penalties
  • Back Taxes
  • Tax Liens
  • Tax Levies
  • Wage Garnishments
  • Asset Seizures

Options for Tax Debt Relief

IRS Penalty Abatement

If you owe back taxes that have accrued a substantial amount of penalties, we can help eliminate those penalties through a Tax Abatement.  Situations in which an abatement is possible include penalties related to either: not filing tax returns on time or at all, not making payroll deduction deposits, or not making tax payments on time.  Although the IRS does not abate interest, a successful penalty abatement ensures any interest associated with the eliminated penalties will also be wiped out.  Click here to learn more about Penalty Abatements.

If you do you qualify for a tax abatement, we may be able to have your tax obligation coded as “Currently Not Collectible (CNC).” The CNC status means the IRS will not continue their collection efforts pending your ability to establish a Payment Plan or an Offer in Compromise as described below.

IRS Payment Plan & Installment Agreements

If you owe taxes and cannot afford to pay what is owed, we can negotiate an agreement with the IRS or your State tax agency to pay over an extended time period, known as either a Payment Plan or an Installment Agreement.  We will negotiate on your behalf to ensure your monthly obligation is as low as possible, so you can afford to pay each month.  Click here to learn more about Payment Plans and Installment Agreements.

IRS Offer in Compromise – “Tax Settlement”

Our tax relief attorney can help negotiate with the IRS or your local state tax agency to have them accept less than what you owe in what’s known as an Offer in Compromise (OIC) or Tax Settlement.  If you qualify, a Tax Settlement will help save you or your business thousands of dollars and the interest associated with it.   Tax settlements are handled on a case-by-case basis, and several factors determine the payback amounts.  An OIC is a one-time tax relief strategy. Once you settle with the IRS or local agency, you will never have the opportunity to again.  For this reason, it is best to be sure look into all other available options before exploring an OIC.  If you think a Tax Settlement may be right for you, one of our professional Tax Relief Attorneys can help ensure that you save as much with your settlement as possible.  Click here to learn more about Offer in Compromise and Tax Settlements.

IRS Income Taxes & Filing Bankruptcy

If your tax debt meets all the following conditions, we may be able to help you file bankruptcy to help rid you of your obligations:

  • The taxes are income taxes – payroll taxes cannot be discharged through bankruptcy.
  • Fraud or willful evasion was not committed.
  • The tax obligation is over three years old at the time of filing bankruptcy.
  • You filed a tax return at least two years before filing bankruptcy – for the debts you want to discharge.
  • “240-day rule.” The tax debt must be assessed by the IRS 240 days or more or must not have been assessed, before filing bankruptcy.

Discharging income tax through bankruptcy entails a strong background in both tax law as well as bankruptcy law, and at Dramer Law, we have both!  Click here to learn more about Bankruptcy.

The Dramer Law Tax Relief Process

All of our representatives are well educated and more importantly are trained to be educators.  Our job is to make sure YOU understand all the ins and outs of the different services we offer so YOU can make an educated decision.  We are a full disclosure law firm so we do our best to ensure that when retained, anything that can happen along the way will have already been disclosed and explained to you.  When we advise on the different choices, we are sure to describe both the pros and cons of each option.  Our staff is trained to ask the right questions to get the whole picture.  Any member of our law firm that consults with our clients is well qualified with a MINIMUM OF 10 YEARS EXPERIENCE!

You will have a specific attorney assigned to your case.  Our lawyers and client service representatives deal on a one-on-one basis so you will speak to the same person each time, should you need to contact us.  Our employee retention ratio is near 100%, so the likelihood of your representative leaving our firm is slim.  We have happy employees here, and happy employees make for happy clients!

Before making any recommendation, an actual Tax Attorney will analyze your current situation including your assets and liabilities as well as your current cash flow to figure out which relief process is best for you. We then customize our process to the individual needs of your budget and explain all aspects of the process including the risks & fees – not just how much money you can save.

Once retained, we immediately send our notice of Limited Power of Attorney to the IRS or your State tax agency to take over any communications and phone calls with which you may be getting harassed.

Your representative will reach out to you a minimum of once a month to update you and will contact you immediately, if ever necessary.

We negotiate to reduce penalties, establish payment plans, settle for less than what you owe, or, we will prepare your bankruptcy petition if that’s why you retained our services.  We never agree to anything without first consulting with you and getting your approval. It is your tax debt and your money, so you have the final say in all of our negotiation processes.

Benefits of Hiring a Tax Relief Law Firm over a Tax Settlement Company

WE OFFER EVERY TAX SOLUTION – There are many companies out there that can assist you with either one option or another.  If you choose a company that only offers one solution, their “sales pitch” will always be presented to you in such a way that the solution their company provides will look like the best choice for you.  Many non-law firms’ representatives are in the sales business – not the counseling business.  Their job is to sell their product, and they earn a commission for it – a sure way to make sure they misrepresent their products to you.  On the contrary, we are a law firm and pay our attorneys, consultants, and client service representatives a salary, not a commission.  Their job is not to sell you something as they are not paid based on how many clients the can enroll.  We are a FULL DISCLOSURE LAW FIRM.

Our Lawyers are held to higher standards by the bar committee.  A non-law firm has no rules to which to be held accountable.  None of our lawyers would ever violate their code of ethics, but the fact is, there is no code of ethics for non-attorney companies.

One of the more important benefits of hiring our firm is that we can deal with legal actions that may arise as a result of your unpaid back taxes.  If legal action begins with a non-attorney tax provider, you will be without representation leading you to call us instead for bank levy help, property lien assistance, or even help with wage garnishments! We have taken on many clients over the years that have come to seek our help after going with non-attorney tax providers that needed us to clean up the mess left behind.

Finally, as a full-service debt relief law firm, we offer Bankruptcy as a last resort.  If your income doesn’t continue as planned, or you are not able to secure funds for repayment plans or settlement as intended, a tax lawyer that can also help with bankruptcy is something a non-attorney tax assistance company can even advise you about, as doing so constitutes legal advice.
